Description
Your salesman may tell you that the Infiniti G35 coupe can handle fine in snow. While that may be true with the 17" G35 all-seasons, the 18" summers are useless in anything beyond a dusting. After one wicked experience (getting stuck several times, couple spin outs, etc.) I decided it was time to invest in a new set of snow shoes.

The Brembo brake calipers will cause you some trouble! Only a handful of wheels will fit, and forget steel rims! After doing some research, I found that Enkei RS-6 17" wheels would in fact fit. I ordered a set from Discount Tires Direct's (tires.com) Scratch & Dent section. I also ordered a set of 17" Semperit Sport Grip tires (Austrian snow tire, owned by Continental Tire). Discount Tires Direct mounted, balanced and shipped the completed set for free! Total cost, $800 for the whole set!

TWO IMPORTANT THINGS.... the weights for balancing should be mounted on the rear of the rim, not center. If the weights are on the center of the inner rim, they will hit the Brembo brake calipers. Discount Tire balanced all 4 this way, and I had to have the front two wheels re-balanced since they did not clear the Brembos. Second, you will need a set of tuner lugs. I went with Gorilla Spline Drive lugs (~ $35). Your regular lug nuts will not fit, and neither will Enkei-style lug nuts... just go with spline drive lugs.

If you have any further questions, ask away in our Coupe or Sedan Forums.
