by Brad (VQ) Description First, make sure that they take your tint to the edge. On your front windows, the tint should come as close as possible to the edge, without any hanging over. If it hangs over at all (even a fraction of a inch) it will catch and peel.
Next, see how they plan to attack those annoying dots at the top of your rear windsheild. My installer first attempted to cover them, and it appeared to work great. However, a day later, the tint began to peel and "fall off" of the dots. As a solution, my installer was able to mount a black vinyl banner ON THE INSIDE to cover the dots. While the black vinyl banner is not rare, mounting it on the inside of the glass is! Most installers will put the vinyl banner on the outside of the window. Mounting it on the inside, gave a flawless look. The installer ran the seam (tint/banner seam) along the top wire of the rear defroster. At first, this looked a little extreme, but it ends up looking much better from the outside.
Outside visibility is not blocked by the banner, although it may appear so.
Here you can see the slight overlap of the banner over the tint
If you have any further questions, ask away in our Coupe or Sedan Forums. Brad
